Council Vacancies

 

The council has the following posts to be filled:

 

Assistant Secretary:

Required to assist the secretary with meeting minutes and general admin.

 

Airtime Editor:

Required to produce our AirTime magazine which showcases what our members are up to.

 

CD Representative:

Essential to co-ordinate all competitions held by the SAA.

 

Webmaster:

Required to post website updates as and when required to help keep the membership informed.

 

 

It is important that all vacancies are filled in order that the council can work quickly and effectively in order to ensure that R/C flying is safe and enjoyable for all members and that we fulfil our legal obligations.

 

The SAA can only exist if we have members that are willing to help. If you think you can help your fellow members, please contact any member of Council.

Latest SAA Recruitment Update Dec 2021

 

Following the SAA AGM held on 5th Dec 2021 and the subsequent ending of 'term of office' commitments of Council members, there are now a few SAA Council positions available for volunteers to apply.

Assistant Secretary

The Assistant secretary will play a significant role in collating minutes of Council meetings and will generally support the Secretary in communications with clubs and membership arising from these meetings. He/she may also be required to deputise for the Secretary on occaisions.

 

Airtime Editor

The newsletter (Airtime) editor’s role is the collating of news and views from members, and publishing them as a Newsletter at a frequency agreed with Council, (normally 3 per year).

He /she shall be solely responsible for the editorial contents of the Newsletter.

 

Webmaster

This role is to provide support to the updating and development of the SAA website. The webmaster will assist in the maintenance of the website with the regular update of news and legislation guidlines and also the inclusion of members input from events and gallery pictures.

 

CD Representative (role may be shared)

We are seeking support from members who are able to organise and manage competitions and may already have had similar experience at club level.  This role will play a pivitol part in bringing our hobby back to life when Covid restrictions relax and the SAA national events are again on the calender for 2022.
